He was predeceased by: his daughter Gloria Herrera; and his grandson Santiago "Jimmy" Morales. He is survived by: his wife Esperanza; and his children, Salvador Gutierrez, Robert Gutierrez (Esther), George Gutierrez (Carmen), Richard Gutierrez (Monica), Michael Gutierrez, Anthony Gutierrez, Linda Maldonado (Daniel) and Rosemary Estefania (Raul). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great/great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
