It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Heriberto Maldonado of East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on October 30, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Otilia Cosme; and his siblings, Raul, Luis, Rafael Maldonado and Antonia Maldonado.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Maldonado; his children, Luis Maldonado (Maria), Annette Velez (George), Mike Velez (Kendra) and Heriberto Maldonado; his granddaughter Destiny; his great grandchildren, Christian, Ayden Puentes, Dejalae Puentes (Laylani), Miyah Velez, Mike, Mercedes, Eric, Mariah, Mariana, Aubrey, Analeiah Maldonado and Luis (Malaya); his parents-in-law, Gloria L. Rodriguez, Gloria Luyando, Mercedes Malaves (Alfredo) and Mariano (Jackie); and his nieces and nephews, Amanda, Eleiah, Ali, Inocencio, Chenzo, Honesti, Jasmine Colon (Mika), Nena Luyando (Emani), Yvette (Araceli), Jessica, Rosemary (Yessenia), Ralph, Pito and Suso Maldonado. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
