It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esperanza Cortez (East Chicago, Indiana), who passed away on May 7, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reynaldo Torres and Ernestina Torres; and her siblings, Juanita Garcia, Reynaldo Torres, Jr. and Rogelio Torres.
She is survived by: her children, Reynaldo Garcia, Irma Sustaita (Raymond), Xavier Garcia, Hector Cortez, Miguel Cortez and Roel Cortez; her grandchildren, Sara Hicks (Jerame), Jaime Sustaita (Melissa), Amanda Alexander (Phillip), Gabrielle Garcia, Miguel C. Cortez, Cyan N. Cortez, Roel Cortez, Jr. and Symone Cortez; her great grandchildren, Bianca Sustaita, Jaime Sustaita, Jacob Sustaita, Andrew Hicks, Jacklyn Hicks and Melonie Cortez; and her siblings, Ramiro Torres (late Concepcion), Evangelina Mercado (Juan Francisco), Raul Torres (Olga) and Reymundo Torres (Alma). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
