He is survived by: his wife Patricia Chavez (Boo); his children, David Chavez, Sonia Alvarez (Jaime), Monica Chavez, Adriana Chavez and Susanna Mao (Sauvon); his grandchildren, Caitlyn Chavez, Jaime II, Vicente, Thalia, Lorenzo Alvarez, John III, Kayla Anderson, Terry Jr., Enrique, Jaylen Williams, Baby Luis Rivera, Landon, Ahmer and Asiah Mao; his siblings, Emily Eckhart, Juanita DeJesus (Julio), Frank Badajoza Jr., Linda Quiroga (Manuel), Gloria Velazco (Efrain), Maryellen Melgoza and Rosemary Ramos (Jose); his niece Esmeralda; his sister Lucia; and his nephew Carlos Mariscal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
