It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diosdado Cotto of East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on June 25, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Nery Cotto; his children, Maria Rivera, Ruth Evelyn Monroig (Ramiro) and Orlando Cotto; his grandchildren, Yvette Hernandez (Peter), Melvin Monroig (Andrea), Enrique Herrera, Jr. (Gabriella), Alexis Irizarry (Edgar) and Nicholas Herrera (Karen); his great grandchildren, Hector, Jeremiah, Xavier, Noah, Cristian, Enrique III, Julian, Xiomara, Edgar, Jr., Arianna and Alejandro; his great great grandchild Laylani; and his sister Abigail Cotto Sanchez. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
