It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Marie Hillegonds of Dyer, Indiana, who passed away on November 23, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Doris Chisholm (late Glen); her parents, Harry Schouwen and Dorothy Van Schouwen (Scholl); and her stepmother Jennie Van Schouwen (Scholten). She is survived by: her husband Robert T. Hillegonds; her children, Dale (Camie), Carl (Kristin) and Frank (Rachel); her grandchildren, Trevor (Emily), Ty (Emily), Jaime Pirus (Benjamin), Kyle, Derek, Jack (Megan), Luke, Jason, Libby and Jonathon; her great grandchildren, Fern, Theodore and Eowyn; and her sisters, Laura Vos (late Lawrence), Susan Van Schouwen, Becky Van Schouwen and Terri Durnbaugh (John).
