She was predeceased by: her husband Gus; and her parents, Sotirios Thrapsimis and Vasiliki Thrapsimis. She is survived by: her sons, John Margeas (Tina) and Sam Margeas; her grandchildren, C. J. Margeas (Ellen) and Heidi Mairena (John); her great grandchildren, Johnny, Melina, George and Luke; her brothers, Dimitrios Thrapsimis (Evangelia) of Greece and Konstantinos Thrapsimis (Enzi) of Germany; and her siblings-in-law, John Margeas of Munster and Sophia Lianos of Ptelea. She is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loula's name‚ to Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Hammond, Indiana and to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Sioux City, Iowa.
