He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Neace and Alma Neace (Noble); his former wife Phyllis Neace; his son Vernon Neace, Jr.; his great grandchild Kane Lucas; and his siblings, Mary Ella Chambers, Rosa M., Norma L., Allie F. Neace and Rickie Neace.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Neace; his children, Patricia Neace (Johnny) of Deputy, Marar Coker of Scottsburg, Indiana and Bruce Edward Neace (Juanita) of Deputy, Indiana; his stepchildren, Dennis Hauff (Autumn) of Deputy, Indiana, Anita Lovegrove (D. J.) of Scottsburg and Shirlene Spencer (Marvin) of Roanoke, Indiana; and his siblings, Mildred Smith (Richard) of Austin, Indiana and J. W. Neace (Ollie) of Deputy, Indiana. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
