It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlita S. Stokes (Crown Point, Indiana), born in Manilla, Indiana, who passed away on July 26, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sotero and Genoveva; her husband Charles Micheal "Mike" Stokes; her father-in-law Charles Stokes; and her brother Eduardo.

She is survived by: her children, Terence Stokes (Amy), Jennifer Snider (Kevin), Brandon Stokes (Lisa Ping) and Justin Stokes (Crystal); her grandchildren, Garren, Aiden, Dean, Luka, Raeya, Lyra and Kira; her mother-in-law Doris Stokes; her sister-in-law Diana Sparks (John); and her siblings, Lilian Hedge of Sydney, Marites Daño, Romeo, Tommy and Ricky Daño. She is also survived by nephews, great-nephews, and many close friends.
