He was predeceased by: his mother Donna Lee Stewart Shirar; and his sister Jodi Kay Franklin. He is survived by: his father Robert Allen Shirar, Sr.; his children, Ashley Russell (Andrew) and R. Garrett Shirar; his sister Angie Lucas; and his grandchildren, Beau and Kensley.
