He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gill and Emma Sering Gill; his wife Helen Swisher Gill; his son William "Bill" Gill; and his grandson Edward Andrew "Andy" Gowin.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Gowin (Terry) of Crawfordsville; his daughter-in-law Carol Gill of California; and his grandchildren, Ben Gowin (Jennie) of Greenwood, Deann Wolfe (Johnny) of California and Tyler. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
