He was predeceased by: his father Lester Balser; and his siblings, Vonda Gearing, Sandra Evans, Arthur, Robert and Steven Balser.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Balser Jr. of Lafayette, Gary Balser of Lafayette, Barb Dewey (David) of Lafayette and Sandra Balser of Lafayette; his girlfriend Yvonne Abney; his stepson Christopher Abney of Crawfordsville; and his siblings, Barbara Gerken of Lancaster, OH, Diana Bowman of Lancaster, OH, Junior of Lafayette, Dwayne of Lafayette, Herbert (Donna) of Lafayette and Stan Balser of Lafayette. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
