He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Edwin and Marguerite Freeman Smith; his daughter Shawnetta Smith Cassidy; his granddaughter Liberty Martin; and his brother Bill Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Houser Smith; his daughters, Shannon Martin (Dennis Jr.) of Bridgeport, Mary Ferree (Adam) of Corydon and Erika Campbell (Dustin) of Elizabeth; his son-in-law Duane Cassidy (Beth); his grandchildren, Steven Cassidy (Shawn), Nathan Cassidy, Courtney Martin, Cheyenne Martin, Cody Ferree (Hali), Kyle Ferree (Hunter), Brady and Waylan Campbell; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Levi Cassidy, Anabelle, Jax and Boone Ferree; his siblings, Wade Smith (Phyllis) of Hanceville and Rita Williams of Wrightsville; and his pet Abby.
Due to COVID-19 only 60 people or less in the building at one time.
