He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank "Red" L. Gilbert and Catherine L. Wilson Gilbert; and his wife Norma Jean Gilbert. He is survived by: his brother Garry G. Gilbert (Jena) of Connersville, Indiana; his niece Angie Hall (Jerry) of Cicero, Indiana; and his nephew Chris Gilbert (Cassandra) of Plainfield, Indiana. He is also survived by several great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nephews.
