He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Godsey and Phyllis Hahn Godsey; his stepmother Mary Alice; his stepsister Ginny Silvers; and his pet Curley.
He is survived by: his wife Genia Good Godsey; his children, Catherine Bingham (Scott), Stephan Godsey (Abby), Christopher Godsey (Jamie), Joshua Godsey, Ben Homan (Jessica), Josh Homan (Heather) and David Homan (Catherine); his brother John Godsey; his stepsisters, Debbie Glass (Jerry), Jayma Smith and Carol Parvis; his pet Kevin; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Luke Godsey, Mason, Cooper Taylor, Colton, Keira, Carly Bingham, Zachary, Emma, Jace and Micah Homan.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in honor of Steve to be made to the Fayette County 4H Shooting Sports.
