He was predeceased by: his parents, William Powers and Katherine Smith Powers; his wife Rosalie K. Powers; his grandson Chris Savoy; his sister Joan Powers; and his brother-in-law David Brunsman.

He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" Hisle (Jimmy) of Connersville and Karen Kalkhoff (Bob) of Connersville; his grandchildren, Drew Savoy (Kaylie), Nathan Kalkhoff, Sara Kalkhoff and Scotty Savoy; his siblings-in-law, Ben Brunsman (Reita), John Brunsman (Claudia) and Judy Brunsman; and his close friends, Dave, Peggy Bates, Judy Graham and George Heineman. He is also survived by family; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
