He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter K. James, Sr. and June D. Kendall James; his wife Teresa "Peanut" James; the mother of his children Patty Cole James; his siblings, Ed James, Sr., Walter K. James, Jr., Marilyn Quantz and Jenell James; and his great grandchild Aristella Ervin.
He is survived by: his children, Tonya Ann James of Connersville, Misty Grimm (Lee) of Everton and Patrick James, Jr. (Jen) of Connersville; his grandchildren, J. D. Ervin (Megan), Aaron Ervin (Cierra), Daniel Shaul, Jr. (Lisa), Tony James, Miranda Grimm (Catherine), Trisha Grimm, Joshua Grimm (Cheyenne), Blake Grimm (Hannah), G. G. Grimm, Hunter Gibbs (Destiny) and Lexus Gibbs; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Izayah, Colten, Nevaeh, Theo, Ivy Ervin, Lillee Bug, Daniel, Shaul, III, Braylon Gibbs, Callie Flannery, Willow Gibbs, Braelynn Bright, Sophia Grimm, Katelyn Steele and Windsor Roberts; his siblings, Carolyn Davisson, Annabelle Emswiller and Danny James; and his pet Mischief.
