She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva E. Waltz and Elizabeth I. Wells Waltz; her husband Dennis M. Hoard; her son David Shepherd, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Dawn Shepherd; her stepson Stephen Hoard; her siblings, Tom Waltz (Jeanetta), Gordon Waltz, Raymond Waltz and Janet Harris; and her brothers-in-law, Lawrence Sims and Bob Leonard.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Shepherd (Laura) of Columbus, Teresa Reeves (Randy) of Columbus and Steven Shepherd of Columbus; her stepchildren, Nancy Eastwood (Wes) of Columbus, Ralph Hoard of Columbus, Mitchel Hoard of Ft. Lauderdale and Paul Hoard of Columbus; her grandchildren, Angela Supernovich, Joshua Lowry, Ryan Shepherd, Wendi Thompson (Matt), Daniel Reeves, Matthew Shepherd, Christopher Shepherd and Kimberly Reeves; and her sister Ann Sims (Rosemary Leonard) of Franklin. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren.
