He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Deckard and Elsie Mae Deckard (Floyd); his siblings, Leslie (Earlena Deckard), Herman (Wilma Jean Deckard), Cecil (Eleanor Deckard), Louie Deckard and Peggy Mae Armstrong; and his brother-in-law Kenny Stephens.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Kay Pershing; his children, Joetta Deckard-Spray (Tim) and Jerrett Deckard (Julie); his grandchildren, Joseph Thomas Deckard and Elizabeth Ann Deckard; his siblings, Maxine Braswell of Albany, Georgia, Lucille Stephens of Bloomington, Indiana and Lonnie Deckard, Jr. (Darlene) of Nashville, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Joy Deckard of Columbus. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The Deckard family kindly requests that those who attend the visitation or graveside service to please wear a mask.
