He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Mildred Louise Pruitt Dayhoff; his wife June Dayhoff; his daughter Mary E. Dayhoff Greathouse; and his siblings, John, Fred, George, Norman Dale Dayhoff, Norman "Butch" Dayhoff and Mary Jane Dayhoff.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy L. Dayhoff-Dwyer (David) of Columbus and Carrie Dayhoff-Shake (Jason) of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Alisha L. Bowman, Eddie E. Greathouse, Michael Dwyer, Matthew Dwyer, James Dwyer, Elizabeth Dwyer, Chase Dayhoff and Caitlyn Shake. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
