He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Lucas and Mary Alice Miller Lucas; his brothers, Lyle and Leonard (Belva Lucas); and his grandson Fisher Lucas.
He is survived by: his wife Ann L. Jacobs; his children, James Lucas (Suzi) of Chicago, Kimberly Lucas (Chandra) of Columbus and John Parks (Joanna) of Columbus; his granddaughters, Ashley Murphy (Eli) of Portland, Cassie Hamm (Spencer) of Indianapolis and Hannah Lucas of Chicago; his great grandchildren, Zayne, Tayla, Jude, Alexander and Sloane; and his brothers, Ted Lucas (Karen) of Edinburgh and Rick Lucas of Columbus. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
