He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl H. Kiel and Charlotte Kiel (Bolte). He is survived by: his spouse Dee; his children, Chris Kiel of Chicago, IL and John (Amy Kiel) of Columbus; his grandsons, Henry Kiel of Evansville, IN and William Kiel of Phoenix, AZ; and his siblings, Ted Kiel (Diane) of Ketchum, Kathy Lubker of South Bend, IN and Marshall Kiel (Suzy) of St. Louis, MO..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or St Bartholomew Catholic Church.
