He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hoffman and Verda Hoffman (Fry); his daughter Debra Hoffman Hall; his grandson James Kenneth Hoffman; and his siblings, Richard, Robert, Jerry Hoffman and Patty Starkey.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hoffman; his children, Kenny W. Hoffman, Gary Hoffman (Melinda), Candy Whitener and James Hoffman; and his sister-in-law Marsha Hoffman. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
