He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. and Mary L. Phillips, Sr. (Kelly); and his siblings, Evelyn Neeley, Donald Phillips, James Phillips, Robert Phillips, Wiemann Phillips and Ronnie Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Phillips of Columbia City; his children, Rick Phillips of South Whitley, Mike Phillips (Susan) of Columbia City, Selena Simmons of Fort Wayne, Christine Aung (Nyan) of Fort Wayne, Brian Phillips of Columbia City and Ryan Phillips (Anna) of Columbia City; his grandchildren, Jessica, Angie, Jennifer, Taylor, David, Christina, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Travis, Andrea and Alexia; and his sister Gloria Zumbrun of Springfield, OH.. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
