It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Dean Ray of Clinton, Indiana, born in Johnston City, Illinois, who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Ray and Vivian Ray (Lannom); his wife Hazel Ray; his children, William D. Ray and Katherine L. Christensen; his grandchildren, Tiffany Estes and David Christensen; and his brothers-in-law, Howard Jolly and Jim McKenzie.
He is survived by: his children, Bekki Garthwaite (JT), Cindy Denson (Kenny) of Paris, IL., Sherri Morris of Indianapolis, IN., Tabatha Addison (Mike), Amanda Fordyce of Surprise, AZ. and Pete Morris of Clinton, IN.; his siblings, Ed Ray (Beverly) of West Frankfort, IL., Ruth Jolly of Channahon, IL. and Gail McKenzie of El Cajon, CA.; and his son-in-law Dale Christensen of Diamond, IL.. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project in memory of William.
