He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Nickels and Emily Myers Nickels; and his siblings, Kenny, Rose (Art Favali) and Barbara (Richard Nickels).
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Nickels (Shaubi); his son Jeff (Maria); his sister Loretta Birdsong; his grandchildren, Jordan and Carmen Nickels; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
