She was predeceased by: her father Alva Newby; and her husband Morris Gilbert. She is survived by: her daughters, Louann M. Love (Troy) and Glory Ann Newby; her brother David Newby (Sandy); her grandchildren, Bryan Kattman, Jessica MacDonald (Eric) and Tristyn Love; and her great grandchildren, Micah Kattman and Nellie MacDonald.
