He was predeceased by: his brother James Michael Donovan. He is survived by: his wife Judith K. Storms Donovan; his grandchildren, Sharon (Stuart), Matthew, Nicholas Odle, Susan Donovan, Sally Lehane (Dennis), Kelly Lehane and Shawn Donovan; his nephew Bert M. (Lindsay); and also, Iris and Leo.
