He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Kniess (Sedley) and George P. Kniess Sr.; his siblings, Mary Jane Jones and George P. Kniess, Jr.; and his great grandchild Isabella Collier.
He is survived by: his wife Renee Kniess; and his children, Rita Barkey (Patrick), Vivien Mohr (Michael), Miriam Gordon (Jerry), Stephen Kniess (Darlene) and Stuart Kniess.
