It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wovie Wampler of Cambridge City, Indiana, born in Clay, Kentucky, who passed away on February 7, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Gay and Della Gay (Cornett); her husband Charles Franklin Wampler; and her brothers, Edward, Willard and Kelly Gay.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald F. Wampler (Janet) and Robert Wampler (Debra); her grandsons, Shawn Wampler (Toni), Ryan Wampler (Derika), Kevin Wampler (Clara), Darrel Wampler and Allen Wampler (Tiffany); her great grandchildren, Charles Wampler (Lori), Kasey Tyree (Jesse), Josh Wampler (Makayla), Caden Wampler, Brantley Wampler, Alex Wampler, Brenna Reed (Tim), Austin Wampler and Ashley Wampler; and her sister Essie Martin. She is also survived by five great-great grandchildren.
