With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Grigsby of Cambridge City, Indiana, who passed away on August 19, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Grigsby (Caldwell) and Rolla Grigsby; his wife JoAnne Hines; his brother Richard; his son-in-law Robin Kinnaman; and his grandson-in-law Justin Gilman.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Jo Kinnaman, John Grigsby (Kris), Betsy Peckinpaugh (Bill), Janie Wild (George), Peggy Atkinson (Mike) and Nancy Farrell (Brian); his sister Ruth Downing (Carroll); and his sister-in-law Nancy Hines. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wayne County Foundation JoAnne Grigsby Memorial Scholarship Fund.
