He was predeceased by: his mother Alice J. Porter, Sr. (Refner); and his stepparents, Alfred Porter, Sr. (Dorothy) and Alice Brown (Robert). He is survived by: his children, Kristine Smith of Garrett, Karla Procise of Fort Wayne, Cheryl Porter of Auburn, Patricia Roehm (Michael) of Garrett, Jeffrey Porter (Jody) of Angola and John Porter of Kendallville; and his brother Alfred Porter, Jr. (Roxie) of Garrett. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
