He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herbert and Wilma Crawford (Bogan); his wife Janice Lee Crawford (Cannavan); his brothers, Robert Crawford, Jerry Crawford and Norman Crawford; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Crawford.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary D. Crawford (Martha "Marty") of Knoxville, David L. Crawford (Brenda) of Brownsburg and Shawn C. Crawford (Teresa) of Forest, Virginia; and his sisters-in-law, Marjorie Crawford of Winter Haven and Barbara Crawford of Indianapolis. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren.
