It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Josephine Elam (Austin, Indiana), who passed away on May 22, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ermal White and Gora White (Miller); her husband Jimmy Elam; and her siblings, Christine Smith and Donald Ray White.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Jo Coomer (Rick), Sandra Lynn Deaton (John), James Donald Elam (Nena) and Danny Scott Elam (Amanda). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchildren.
A private funeral service for immediate family only will be held at Buchanan Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 27 at 1:00 p. m. Due to the need for social distancing related to COVID-19, Public Visitation, with 25 people allowed in the building at a time, will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana.
