He was predeceased by: his parents, Colman F. Smith, Sr. and Neva Mae Smith (Durkee); and his siblings, George Smith, Joyce Davis and Sadie Foreman.

He is survived by: his wife Doris J. Smith (McCrady); his children, Ricky Glen Smith of Austin, Gary Wayne Smith of Austin, Jeffrey Dale Smith (Jamie) of Louisville, Kentucky, Debra Jean "Debbie" Keller of Hanover and Anita Gail Hall (Bob) of Scottsburg, Indiana; and his siblings, Bob Smith of California City, Jim Smith of Riverside, California and Twila Chasak of California. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private and for immediate family only due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CDC recommendations, State and Local government mandates and the family's wishes.

Contributions may be given in memory of Colman to the Zoah Cemetery Association c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
