He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Moore Bowling and Verda Bowling (Barger); his daughter Carolyn "Denise" Nichols of Austin, Indiana; his grandson Joshua Tolett; and his siblings, Albert Bowling, George Bowling, Jr., Charles Bowling and Alkalinia Desmond.
He is survived by: his wife Louetta Bowling (Campbell); his children, Amanda G. Lyles of Cleborn, Rebecca Campbell of Austin, Abigayle P. Bowling of Austin, Indiana and Gregory D. Campbell of Tucson, Arizona; his grandson Austin Nichols (Samatha); and his great grandchild Xzander Michael Clay Nichols.
