He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonso Ankney and Daphne Ankney (Hyzer); his daughter Marna Ankney; his siblings, Carl Ankney, Hazel Littlefield and Wava Williams; and his sons-in-law, Denny Brown and Al Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Norma J. Sproat (Hoffer) of Auburn; his son Philip; his daughter-in-law Lynn Ankney of Bedford, Indiana.; his children, Janet Cook of Michigan and Ron; his daughter-in-law Janis Sproat of Cree Lake, Indiana.; his children, Phyllis Brown of Auburn, Kathy Johnson of Auburn and Mike; his daughter-in-law Jodie Sproat of Arizona; his daughter Donna; his son-in-law Gary Fry of Auburn; and his grandchildren, Amber Ankney, Courtney Ankney, Erin Ankney, Leah Ankney, Lilly Ankney, Chris (Lezlie Cook), Bernie (Becky Cook), Josh (Katie Cook), Mark (Laurie Heller), Greg (Mindy Brown), Tim (Amy Tropp), Chad (Angie Depew), Scott (Stacey Sproat), Erick (Mariah Keirn), Stewart (Cissandra Metz), Dawn (Chris Gilvin), Jessica (Isiah Jordan), Stacey (Jon DeCamp) and Dennis Fry (Denise Fry). He is also survived by 42 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren and 6 great great great grandchildren.
