He was predeceased by: his parent John A.; his granddaughter Evie Swanson; and his sister Esther Foxworthy. He is survived by: his parent Ellen E. Swanson (Larson); his friend Marvin Carlson; his spouse Barbara Jean Brier; his sons, Gary Swanson (Melissa) of Attica, Larry Swanson (Vickie) of Lebanon, IN and Charles Swanson (Robin); his brother Ralph Swanson of Williamsport; and his grandchildren, John Swanson (Meridith), Chrisann Neal (Scotty), Joey Swanson (Alicia), Joshua Swanson (Kristen) and Claire Swanson.
