He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl L. Kerr and Hildrege E. L. Kerr (Criger); his great grandchild Helen Charis Fernandez; and his siblings, Robert, Thomas, Charles Edward "Ed" Kerr, Norma Davis and Georgia Hercamp.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Louise Chafin; his children, Judy Staley of West Point, Rick Kerr (Sandy), Dan Kerr (Lori) and Mellott; and his brother Harry I. Kerr. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the West Point Fire Department or the National Rifle Association.
