He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Joe Hartley and Wayne Ehman; his father John A. Hartley; his sister Michelle Elayn Knapp (Hartley); his grandmothers, Luella Ehman (Kinder) and Ruth Hartley (Wise); his parents-in-law, Jim and Pauline Bagwell (Plaspohl); and his siblings-in-law, Karla Bagwell and Tom Gonzales.
He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Kay Hartley (Ehman); his wife Robin Renee Hartley; his sons, Doug Hartley (Janine) and Nick Hartley (Jackie); his granddaughters, Ada Jane and Bailey Marie Hartley; his brother Steven John Hartley (Dena); his uncle Dr. Dewayne Lee Ehman; his niece Nicole Gonzales (Jeff Whitmore); his brothers-in-law, Greg Knapp (Debbie Jacobs) and Mike Bagwell (Anita); and his nieces and nephews, Chris, Ryan, Adam, Tanner, Kevin, Brian, Tayler and Payton.
