He was predeceased by: his parents, John Juriss and Anna Juriss (Kapilla); his daughter Laura Ann Juriss; and his sister LaVerne Voelz. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Adele Juriss (Lerner); his children, John Joseph Juriss, Jr. (Kathy) and Kay Marie Mares (Juriss) of David, M. D.; and his grandsons, Tom Mares and Joe Mares. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
