He was predeceased by: his father Loren; and his stepfather John Kissner, Jr.. He is survived by: his parent Margaret Miers (Alexander); his stepdaughter Margaret Kissner; his siblings, Mindi Robinson and Rick Miers; and his grandchild Kim Hohlt (Gregg). He is also survived by three nieces; and two nephews.
