He was predeceased by: his father William Patton, Sr.; his stepfather Gerald L. Stoner; his mother Helen Jean Stoner (Noland); his brother Dennis L. Stoner; and his son Nathan Allen Patton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tamara Dengate (Christopher) of Ferndale and Dawn Webber (Thomas) of Carmel; his stepsister Marie Martin of Henderson, Texas.; his grandchildren, Stephanie Dengate (Mathew) of Augusta, Georgia, Nicholas Dengate (Brianna) of Warren, William Brant Sanders (Ashley) of Zionsville, Luke Evan Sanders of Carmel and Kamryn Baily Sanders of Carmel; and his great grandchildren, Riley, Lacey, Kinzley and Nathan.
