He is survived by: his children, Steven Zimmer, Dianne Eigenbrod (John), Marcus Zimmer (Annah Klotzbuecher) and Casendra Kennedy (Lanny); his grandchildren, Douglas Luken, Zach Zimmer, Colan Eigenbrod (Meghan), Zara Zimmer, Tori Zimmer, Sami Zimmer (David Neal), Kameron Kennedy (Taylor), Zed Zimmer (Kasie Thogode), Alli Kennedy (Cole Baird), Gavin Zimmer and Brody Zimmer; his half-sister Patty West (Gary); his nieces, Joann Long (Bill), Debby Calvert and Viola Rode (Charlie); and his close friends, Bob and Annie Urquhartand.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association and Wounded Warrior Project.
