He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis A. Brown and Doris Marie Brown; and his brother David F. Brown. He is survived by: his spouse Lou Ann Brown (Kilmer); his children, Steve Brown (Kris) of Carmel, Beth Ann Dowling (Brian) of Clear Lake, TX and Jeff Brown (Kittie) of Noblesville; his grandchildren, Andrew (Brooke), Jennifer (Brown), Fay (Lex), Kevin Brown (Corey), Daniel Dowling, Brianna (Dowling), Reeves (Jonny), Nathan (Daniela) and Meredith Brown; his great grandchildren, Evan Fay, Marlowe Reeves and Teddy Brown; and his brother-in-law Joseph Kilmer (Beverly).
