He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvin Jones and Lillie Jones (Farris); his wife Barbara Williams; and his siblings, James Jones, Arvin Jones, Jr., Thurman Jones, Wendell Jones, Gary Jones, Stephen Jones, Ina Jones, Wanda Broadnax and Rita Pearl Cooksie.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Ross of Anderson and Michael Jones, Sr. (Katie) of Anderson; his grandchildren, Aaron Ross, Michael Jones, II (Dedra), Diamond Jones, Tiffany Ross, Herschel Ross, III, Rashawn Ross and Natalie McClendon-Douglas (Bruce); and his sisters, Patty Eddington of Kokomo and Deborah Jones-Thomas. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
