He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Hinton and Ruby Hinton; and his wife Mildred "Pat" Hinton (Kocher). He is survived by: his children, Lisa Gilliam (Roger) of Anderson, Laura Saunders Forsythe of Anderson and Robert Hinton of Anderson; his grandchildren, Steve Rushton (Tina), Trent Saunders (Danielle), Charles Rushton and Shaun Saunders (Kim); his great grandchildren, Joseph, Zoie Rushton, Blake Saunders, Emory, Tesla Curl, Madison and Kaleb Saunders; and his sister Jewel Rushing of Shreveport, Louisiana..
