She was predeceased by: her father Edward; her brother Gary; her nephew Derek; and her pet Sweet Pea. She is survived by: her brother Edward; her mother Linda; her daughter Shannon Miller; her friend Amanda Broadway; her granddaughter Willow Holder; her son Jacob (Holly); her grandsons, Ben and Lincoln Miller; her siblings, Bryan (Liz Frank) and Debbie (Tim Chambers); her best buddy MaryAnn Lazenby; her sister-in-law Cathy Frank; her nieces, Amber and Tiffany Miller; her nephew Brad McCord (Julie); and also Ryan Poole.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda had requested that donations could be made to organizations such as the Christian Center, who feeds those who are hungry. She also had a special place in her heart for the individuals with mental illness, and also welcomed donations to organizations to support mental health.
