He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Abernathy (Pierce); his children, Marty Abernathy-Leesburg (Jenny), Tammy Abernathy-Alexandria and Polly Brelage-Indianapolis (Greg); his granddaughter Abby Sellers-Fishers; his great grandchild Landon Sellers-Fishers; and his brothers, David Abernathy-Elwood (Barb) and Phillip Abernathy-Muncie (Missy).
