She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Snyder and Daisy Snyder; her son James Darren Stafford; her stepmother Delta Snyder; her siblings, Delmer, Benny, Sonny, Doug and Debra; and her pet Chico.
She is survived by: her close friend Larry Ray Allen; her children, Whitney Myers (Corey), Amanda Modlin, Tracy Stafford (Jeri), Brock Krebs, Tony Stafford (Christina) and Dustin Parks; her grandchildren, Jamie, Kayla, Alexia, Levi, David, John, Phillip, Aaron, Faith, Sarah, Brooke, Dylan, Kenzie, Makayla, Peyton, Parker, Olivia and Maci; and her siblings, Greg, Mary, Sarah, Rose, Vina, Jewel and Karen. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Mellie's memory may be made to the Madison County Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
